Literature competition “Razvitie” gathered all authors from its tenth release.
In the frame of the Sofia international book festival in the National Palace of Culture, was also the presentation of the seven novels, nominated by the jury, which also proposed their release. Six of them were done by “Razvitie”, and the seventh – “The water tower” by Diana Petrova – was done by publishing house “Riva”.
Assoc. Prof. Boiko Penchev talked about the novels and categorized, commented, greeted and lightly critiqued them, and the creator of the competition Alexander Alexandrov mentioned the charity campaign, in which frame, several copies of the seven books will be sent, together with other releases by “Razvitie”, to the cultural institutions of the Bulgarian diaspora in Chicago.
Diana Petrova, Desislava Sheytanova, Strahil Sabev, Dobromir Baychev, Victor Stoyanov, Ivan Stoilov and Dimitar Todorov made a group photo and arranged future meetings, showings and readings, connected with the novels and the competition. Beforehand however they were challenged with the task to find and read their most beloved half a page from their novels.
For competition “Razvitie”, the literature year ends with the participation on the yearly book festival, where at stand 341 all books released by “Razvitie” from Bulgarian authors in the last 25 years will be present. An accent is obviously put on the slogan – “7 new Bulgarian novels from the 10-th literature competition “Razvitie”.”
